AFRICA/SOUTH AFRICA - Police arrest three people in connection with the murder of Sister Stefani Tiefenbacher

Johannesburg (Agenzia Fides) - Three people suspected of the murder of Sister Stefani Tiefenbacher (see Fides 21/04/2015), were arrested by the police in KwaZulu-Natal.
According to a police spokesman, the arrested persons, aged between 25 and 35, were found in possession of items that belonged to the murdered nun. The three are accused of murder, theft and rape.
Sister Stefani Tiefenbacher CPS (Missionary Sisters of the Precious Blood), was killed in the night between Saturday 19 and Sunday, April 20 in her room in the mission of the Sacred Heart of Ixopo, in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, in the east of South Africa. The nun had been found bound and gagged, and died suffocated. Before dying she suffered sexual violence. (L.M.) (Agenzia Fides 29/04/2015)
